Genelle M. Brakefield joined Ekon Benefits in June of 2006 as a Benefit Administrator. Genelle earned the certification of Qualified 401(k) Administrator in 2008 and is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries. In 2010, she was awarded the certification of Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) and Qualified Plan Financial Consultant (QPFC). Genelle has expertise with the following types of retirement programs: 401(k), 403(b), 457, Profit Sharing and Multiemployer Plans.

Genelle attained both her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa. Her knowledge of plan design and background in business and marketing led to her promotion to Vice President, Business Development in 2009.

Genelle’s current focus is on the development of the Ekon brand along with the initiation of formalized marketing efforts. “My goal is to spread awareness about the exceptional quality of service that Ekon Benefits clients receive. Our Individual Plan Specialists are knowledgeable and experienced, which I feel is an asset to anyone needing retirement plan administration.”

Genelle has assisted in the growth of Ekon Benefits and is an integral part of the management team.
